and to think, there are plenty of students that i work with who seem to believe that racism no longer exists and white privilege is something that "radicals" made up... i know about being followed by a "slow shadow" and i tell you, it doesn't get any easier as my locs get longer...
Slump...I just want to say that racism is a corroding thread in the fabric of our lives. My experience of it is DIFFERENT than yours of course, but I have been judged ONLY for the color white and had anger directed at me for the sins of others. We all suffer under racism's weight.
I am grateful that I am evolved enough to embrace humanity and avoid the limits that come from being a racist. I remain teachable to life's lessons and therefore will be of maximum service to god and my fellows.
Love or Fear~~Which will I choose in this Day? I had best choose Love b/c this Day is all I have. Tommorrow might not come. Yesterday is gone.
