Fountains of Love

Drips, Drips, Drips

Theirs was an interesting love,
warm, passionate, illusive,
a constant game of hide and go seek,
each week filled with a new way to “show” emotion,
offering a variety of erotic potions, both eatable, drinkable,
mixed with unencumbered notions of bound expression,
laced with heartfelt aggressive progressions
leading to welcomed erections,
leading to the removal of creamy injections,
followed with forehead kisses,
selfless handwritten greeting cards, and
immediate sleep representing the performance
“seal of approval”…

Theirs was a perfect love until…
“…will you allow the opportunity to share
in a golden shower moment…,”
was casually uttered during an impulse of honesty,
in a rare situation, full feminine autonomy,
“…certainly,” he responded out of obligation,
recent attempts of procreation steadily fading,
his hesitation proceeds the act,
pheaky fiancé gone a rye,
in the blink of a tear filled eye she swiftly descended
from Queen to whore...

Standing in the Jacuzzi peering down toward bent knees,
saddened by her glee,
he began to release warmth in an effort
to transform his agitated half empty glass into hers,
which was no longer half full,
now filled with jubilation,
instantaneously rendering their copulation irrelevant,
upon completion,
this was the first time her mouth didn’t feel like
ecstasy personified,
the first time her skin didn’t feel like
silk personified,
the first time she didn’t smell of potpourri,
the first time he no longer looked at her as his
EQUAL…

She loved the experience,
He hated the instance,
theirs was an imperfect love until
he asked for a divorce…

Nice poetry. Have you ever wanted or thought about writing a book of poetry? Or do you just keep this all to yourself?

@ Miss Ahmad, nope, its a new piece. Plus, you know this ain't about pissing its about how a person can totally be turned off by the one they love in an instant just because they fulfilled a request.

@ Urban Butterfly, I like deep stuff too... ...damn, that was bad; thanks for stopping by!

it's always interesting how at one moment, we can love everything about a person and as soon as we fulfill a request, we're turned off. the golden shower request repulsed me but then i go to thinking about other requests that i've obliged that i wish i hadn't.

interesting poem...

i too find the underlying message interesting. we spend our entire lives searching for others to spend our time with. then, when we've found the one that we deem the MOST worthy, we settle down. after that, we begin to TRULY reveal who and what we are. regardless of what it was (whether it was a "golden shower" or washing dishes at this point is irrelevent), the point that stands out the most to me is that someone can REALLY want you to do something for THEM, REALLY want to share something with YOU. and if you "disagree" with it, THEY are now the ones that are flawed. and even more sad is that this flaw is enough to result in divorce...

thanks for making me think sir...

I wasn't sure if you'd stopped posting, but I'm glad to see you haven't. I find your works, intimately catered to the realness of emotions in every capacity. Keep up the good work.

@ nique, I write about actual experiences rarely. My life is too boring to bring to prose, however, I did run into a young lady who wanted a golden shower. I punked out at the last minute! I would have totally saw her in a different light had I done it; damn, I should have done!!!

@ blkbutterfly, true, there are several regrettable things I've done in the name of so-called love, but hey, it made her happy for the moment so I guess it was worth it, right?

@ comment deleted, DAMN YOU!!!

@ fallen angel, not only do some begin to reveal who they are oft times they isolate themselves from friends the more they so-called fall in love. Friends will be there when the smoke clears, after love has been reduced to a smolder.

@ shelle, I agree, nothing is as it seem, it is either better or worse, problem is you never find out until you heart is already on the chopping block!!!

@ blujewel, you find my works, "intimately catered to the realness of emotions in every capacity." Damn, are you flirting with me, I've never heard it put quite like that; THANK YOU, I'll be by your blog shortly!
